The DIVA collection by Ginori 1735 proudly presents its impressive and limited edition plates in beautiful pastel colors and ornate gold. The collection and its plates were originally developed by Giovanni Gariboldi in 1954. It is characterized by a certain sophistication, feminine playfulness and elegance. DIVA takes up an iconic shape and is inspired by the nostalgic Italian coffee culture. Each plate in the series is not only a gastronomic and useful utensil, but also a work of art that enriches your table with timeless elegance and modern design.
By reinterpreting the iconic design from the 1950s, DIVA is a tribute to the vibrant energy of mid-century Italian design with a modern look to the future. Like a true diva, this collection is the star of the table without being overbearing. It is light, charming, straightforward, elegant and stackable. DIVA combines the nostalgia of the past with a new perspective for the present. The collection consists of four pastel colors with contrasting color details and offers a variety of possible combinations.
The original father, Giovanni Gariboldi, joined the Ginori company at the age of 18, where he was apprenticed to master model maker Gio Ponti. Through his appreciation of functionality, the sincerity of form and his ability to grasp the desires of a new, modern society, Gariboldi left a legacy as one of the most influential figures in the decorative arts of Italian modernism. Working as an artist and designer for over 50 years, Gariboldi launched hundreds of products for Ginori, all with a carefully cultivated eye for reinterpreting the past and creating products for the future.
