Tradition and quality since the 18th century

The Ginori story begins in Doccia, just a stone's throw from Florence. Inspired by his passion for white gold, the Marquis Carlo Andrea Ginori founded a porcelain factory that would become a worldwide style icon. Today, the tradition of the Florentine house is the same as ever: to transform porcelain into pure beauty. Very soon, in stately homes, palaces and courts, the precious porcelain of the Doccia Manufactory becomes synonymous with elegance and refinement. The collections enrich the tables with floral elements and serve as new decorations. International lifestyle trends and exhibitions continue to increase the value of Made in Italy porcelain to this day. The manufactory experiences a wave of renewal in 2020: from Richard Ginori to Ginori 1735. This change is followed by a transition from the world of high quality porcelain tableware to the luxury and lifestyle sector. A new way to reinterpret the manufacturing tradition of Ginori 1735, attracting new artists from all over the world to create wonderful collaborations that give the brand an increasingly international character.

Timeless art

From 1923 to 1933, the artistic direction of the manufactory was entrusted to Gio Ponti. He is responsible for introducing highly innovative elements with sensitivity and respect for the tastes of antiquity and oriental culture. In 1925 they achieved the award of the Grand Prix at the Universal Exhibition in Paris. In 2013, Manifattura Ginori was acquired by Gucci, which joined the Kering Group, and Alessandro Michele became artistic director. His vision, passionate about contemporary tastes, produces new collections that reinvent the centuries-old craftsmanship, successfully. During this period, the brand redefines its image and positions itself in a more exclusive segment, leading to the launch of the new flagship store concept in Florence and Milan.
