Designers and their tableware series
Collaborations with renowned creatives
Inspired by talented designers
The transitions are almost seamless. From the catwalk to the dining table. Nowadays, outstanding tableware collections are also designed by well-known fashion designers. And with good reason. They have an excellent sense of aesthetics, passion and visual understanding. They create timelessly elegant collections or unique eye-catchers. Buildings and nature are sources of inspiration for renowned manufacturers and their design teams. A creative idea is added to the unique craftsmanship and expert knowledge of the manufacturers and the result is a successful tableware collection. Tableware series often have a coherent design and are therefore suitable for special occasions or for everyday use. They can be available in different materials such as porcelain, ceramic or glass and feature different patterns or designs to suit different tastes and preferences.
From Ann Demeulemeester to Yotam Ottolenghi
The Belgian brand Serax works with various designers time and again, resulting in a very diverse range that fulfills its purpose and can also be seen as an object of art and decoration. The Dé collection, for example, transfers the style of Ann Demeulemeester to a tableware service. A special brush was even made for the details of the shadow painting on the tableware and the interplay between light and dark and light and shadow. The collaboration with the British-Israeli chef Yotam Ottolenghi in the form of the FEAST collection also shows how expressive and colorful the fine tableware from Serax is. Further collaborations can be found in the DUSK and BASE collections by designers Martine Keirsebilck and Piet Boon, for example.
Gio Ponti for Ginori 1735
The renowned architect Gio Ponti was the artistic director at Ginori 1735 and worked there from 1923 to 1933. Hence the very stylish Labirinto collection, which features a sophisticated interweaving of straight lines on the plates in the series. He also designed the characteristic chain pattern for the artistic Catene tableware collection. We find Ware masterpieces and love the clear lines of these fascinating works of art.
