Invented by SERge and AXel Van Den Bossche, Serax brings a traditional approach to the production of every tableware collection. The entrepreneurs started as a small company in a garage and over the last thirty years have built an unrivalled connection with pieces and designers. From their headquarters in Antwerp, the staff and designers travel the globe with selected prototypes to find the right artisans to manufacture in larger quantities. At Serax, they emphasise the harmony between design and the philosophy of the manufacturer. The company is now run by Axel and his wife - Marie Michielssen, creator of the famous cactus vase.
In collaboration with designers from all around the world
After initial tentative collaborations, a large repertoire of joint works has emerged over the years. The meeting of a ceramics artist - Roos van de Velde - in 2009, marked the future of the company. After the launch of her collection, starred restaurants from all over the world were constantly ordering from Serax to benefit from the quality. Today, Serax is the top choice for Michelin-starred chefs when it comes to enhancing the aesthetics of their dishes.
