Piecework: relaxing puzzles
A lot of people discovered their love for puzzles in lockdown. Rachel and Jena, the founders of Piecework, felt the same way. In 2016, the two were still living the by hustle culture, meaning they worked a lot and put their free time on the back burner. In the last ten years, work has taken priority in the lives of the two founders of Piecework. They went to parties or met up with friends when they actually wanted to stay at home. So it's no wonder that they quickly felt burnt out. To get away from it all for a while, the two of them took up residence in a rented cottage for a week. And the whole week they were there, it rained. They had no reception and nothing to do until they spied a few old jigsaw puzzles in the cupboard. While leisurely putting the individual pieces together, the two found exactly the peace and relaxation they had been looking for at the beginning. So they decided to produce puzzles themselves.
