Since its founding in 1985, Manufaktur Oliver Treutlein has been based in Meerbusch, Germany, between Düsseldorf and Krefeld - an area with a long history in the textile industry. The company is still run by Oliver Treutlein himself and his wife Elke - who pass on their expertise and passion for hand-tufted rug making to their capable staff, guaranteeing that each and every rug meets their high standards of quality, precision and craftsmanship: The result is one-of-a-kind luxury rugs made from the finest materials, with designs ranging from modern geometric patterns to traditional floral motifs with a seemingly endless selection of colors and finishes. Oliver Treutlein relies exclusively on the very best materials for carpet production and processes both the finest natural fibers, such as pure silk, linen, the finest New Zealand virgin wool, but also high-quality artificial yarns, or cotton, which can also be used in a non-flammable, antistatic version for high safety requirements. The processing of the raw materials is done just as elaborately and carefully as it was 100 years ago, in masterly handwork: once the design and the material have been decided upon, the fibers are tufted onto a carrier net of any length exactly according to the desired specifications and either left natural or shortened to any height as velour. The customer is king at this company and receives an individualised product after detailed consultation according to their wishes and requirements. Thanks to the careful manufacturing process, the finished carpets are particularly hard-wearing and easy to clean and can therefore be used in heavily frequented areas such as hallways or offices.
