Mario Arcangeli founded the Mastro Raphael company in 1968. At that time, the business was still a bottega (workshop) in the middle of the Italian city of Spoleto on Via Palazzo dei Duchi. Today, the workshop houses a Mastro Raphael boutique. The name of the brand, with "Mastro" meaning master, is meant to imply that craftsmanship is of great importance even in times of industrialisation.

The uniqueness of the materials requires the knowledge and care of a master in craftsmanship. The name stands especially for high-quality bed and table linen. We were particularly impressed by the beautiful carpets, because their minimalist design fits perfectly with the flair of the RAUM concept store.
