Knife sharpening made easy

"Sharpening knives like a pro - only easier." That is the vision of the Horl brand based in Freiburg. The brains behind the company are a father and son duo, who have made it their mission to develop the ideal knife sharpener for every kitchen. The name Horl stands not only for top-class knife sharpeners, but also for regional production. All suppliers are only a few hours away from the Horl headquarters in the Black Forest. The quality of the components can be assured at all times through constant supervision and there is a permanent exchange of information about developments and improvements. The exchange and the local proximity with their suppliers still have a very high priority at Horl.

One of a kind: the Horl 2 knife sharpener with solid wood

Every piece of wood has a unique grain. Meaning, that every Horl grinder made from solid wood is one of a kind. Like every component of the knife sharpener, the wood is processed in the Black Forest. Here it is dried in ovens until it has reached a moisture content of 7-8 %. The remaining steps are completed by hand. The most beautiful pieces of wood are selected and the components are precisely assembled by hand. The Horl 2 is therefore not only a beautiful kitchen accessory, but a sustainable product and a precise tool to give your knife more edge. Two grinding angles and two grinding wheels ensure maximum results.

Top quality sharpness

After sharpening the knife, honing is a necessity. The honing leather is ideal for this. It removes grinding residues from the blade. The finest accessory is also the Premium Sharpening Package, which comes with two additional corundum grinding wheels. This allows you to achieve the best possible result.
