Erika Vaitkute

Linnen made in Lithuania

Linen: a Lithuanian tradition

Erika, the founder of the brand, grew up with a sewing machine as a favourite toy. Already as a young child, her mother introduced her to the art of sewing. At the age of 18, she wanted to offer her own products to other people, so she visited the artisan markets in Germany and offered her sewn goods. Two years later, in the 90s, she moved to Hamburg and built her own small business.

Today, she has achieved her goal: to preserve the traditional Lithuanian linen craft and to inspire more people to appreciate this form of art. What is special about the brand is the fine textile that that is manufacured. The designs of the brand Erika Vaitkute are created in Germany and the goods are manufactured in a small sewing shop in Lithuania.

Erika Vaitkute: VILNIA delicate linen napkins

VILNIA is simple and light. The linen napkin captivates through its natural charm. It is finely woven and edged with natural yarn. The linen itself is dyed in delicate colours. The finish using warped edges makes the linen napkin simple and modern, and the wrapping also prevents the edges from fraying.

Dishtowel AUDRA

Herringbone is an ancient weaving pattern. Since the early Middle Ages, fabric has been woven in the filigree pattern, which is evidently reminiscent of fine herringbone. We are not surprised that after hundreds of years it is still very popular. The fine herringbone pattern reveals the high quality of the AUDRA linen tea towel at first glance. AUDRA is also delicately edged so that the fabric does not fray.
