Silver plated cutlery, high quality tableware and stylish home accessoriesSilver plated cutlery and tableware for almost 200 years
Since 1830, the Christofle brand has been synonymous to excellence and the motto "One quality, the best!" The factories in Yainville, Normandy, have always produced exceptional products for institutions or luxury brands. As early as the 19th century, the brand supplied first King Louis-Philippe and later Emperor Napoleon III with inovative goldsmith's work. In its own creative studio, Christofle still manages to create iconic designs, such as the celebrated MOOD collection. To keep the products varied, the brand collaborates with renowned designers. Carrier Belleuse, Mucha, Gio Ponti, Ora-Ito, Andrée Putman, Marcel Wanders and Karl Lagerfeld have already cooperated with Christofle.

Christofle on the royal table
The French goldsmith Charles Christofle founded the company in his name in 1830. At first, he produced silver hangings, epaulettes and braids for the army. Then in 1842 he acquired the patents for silver and gold electroplating for 15 years, at that time the only one in France. Electroplating was more durable and less damaging than traditional techniques and made it possible to produce numerous pieces at the same time.
