In her small studio in the heart of Munich, ceramic artist Christine Wagner creates handmade vases, bowls and objects. The bowls are of course not only intended as decorative design objects, but are also perfect for normal use as everyday tableware. The small bowls with high rim are great coffee cups, the large ceramic mug is perfect as a tea mug.

Christine Wagner Ceramics
The trained ceramicist learned her craft in Japan with Yasoji Sasak and in Austria at the Art University in Linz. The influences of Japanese pottery are clearly visible in the clean designs. With great attention to detail, she creates high-quality everyday objects that are also decorative works of art.
Both coarse and fine
The ceramicist skilfully uses contrasts. Her interesting vases convince with clear shapes and striking structures. Rhythmic lines and stamp impressions create a tension with the strict shapes of the containers. The coarse clay is given grains of sand that create fine contours. Earthy and neutral shades make the individual pieces timeless and easily compatible favourites.
